I just found out that the Alberta Foundation for the Arts will be purchasing one of my large silkscreen prints. Thrilled to have this work as part of their collection! One of the edition is currently en-route to Serbia for my solo exhibition at the end of July and it was previously exhibited in Cheltenham, Calgary, and Trois Rivieres.

I am thrilled that my work is included in Resonance: Canadian Printmaking Exhibition at Shengzhi Art Centre in Beijing. From the press release:
Thirty Canadian printmaking artists will show their works in Beijing, China, at the Shengzhi Art Centre in Beijing’s 798 Art District from June 28 to July 12. This exhibition, entitled Resonance, is one of many events this year to mark and celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Canada and China. It is also one of the cultural activities to underline Canada’s commitment to 2015-2016 as the Canada-China year of people-to-people and cultural exchange. The exhibition is being held in collaboration with the Embassy of Canada, Hunan Fine Arts Publishing House, and Shengzhi Art Centre.
Curated by Canadian Ms. Jiaqi Wu, Resonance aims to create a meaningful exchange between Canadian printmakers and Chinese art communities. Through the liaison of Mr. Guy Langevin, a Quebec printmaking artist and academic consultant for the exhibition, the 30 contemporary printmakers whose works will be shown come from across Canada and include some of the most important artists working in this field.

I finished two new silkscreens recently in anticipation of an upcoming exhibition this summer in Belgrade, Serbia. They will be joining a series of my silkscreens from the past few years in a solo exhibition and will then be part of a two-person exhibition as part of the Drypoint Biennial in Uzice.

I am one of 23 artists accepted into this year’s Okanagan Print Triennial. I decided to make my way out to Vernon for the exhibition opening and it was great to see the stunning range of works as well as a large and enthusiastic crowd. The Vernon Public Art Gallery rented some shipping containers to set up an off-site gallery a few blocks away as they couldn’t fit everything into the gallery. I currently have a print in the exhibition A Show of Hands, up at A1 LabArts and showing during this year’s SGCI conference in Knoxville Tennessee. I was invited into the exhibition by Adam Finkelston, the editor of The Hand Magazine – a publication dedicated to printmaking and photography. Two other Calgary artists are also part of the show: Jacqueline Huskisson and Greaeme Dearden, both ACAD grads.

This week, my work is part of an exhibition that coincides with ACAD’s symposium FIELDWORK: Artistic Research, Ethics and Academic Freedom taking place this week from March 12th – 19th. My work explores intersections between illness and identity and these prints specifically explore the sometimes banal (e.g. taking medication) but strangely heightened daily medical activities that are part of illness management. Both are part of my The Body, Stranger series. The exhibition and symposium events are free and open to the public.

I’m one of two Canadians part of an exhibition in Italy that features the work of 99 women printmakers from around the world. Curated by Veronica Longo, Incisioni Al Femminile 2015 opens on March 8th at the Atelier Controsegno in Pozzuoli and runs until the 28th.
Here are the first two prints of 2015. They are part of The Body, Stranger series exploring issues relating to chronic illness and identity. Both are silkscreen on paper and 22″ x 30″.

For over a year, I’ve had several works as part of the Burnaby Art Gallery’s Art Rental and Sales program. 2014 was the last active year of the program so though my work is no longer available through their sales, I was pleased to have the City of Burnaby purchase one of my prints for their permanent collection just prior to having my work returned to me.

One of my prints is currently up in an exhibition at the Kresage Gallery at Lyons College. Curated by Dustyn Bork, the show examines the idea of landscape and place as interpreted by a range of contemporary artists. The exhibition has an opening reception on Thursday, January 29th.
