New Miniprints
On Small Prints
I wrote an article for SNAP to accompany the BIMPE exhibition that opened this month. An excerpt:
“Image construction means focusing our attention down towards the picture space and moving in, rather than out, to take in the whole image. When we look at a small image, we, as the viewer, dive into the picture and deliberately project ourselves into the details, a much different act of looking than when a large image engulfs us.”

BIMPE VIII
Happy to be part of BIMPE VIII! The exhibition opened in early September and will tour to several galleries in BC and Alberta including Federation Gallery, Dundarave Print Workshop, UBC Okanagan, and SNAP.
Miniprint Finland 2014
Miniprint Finland 2014 opened on March 27th at the Hyvinkää Art Museum. I have three prints in the exhibition and am one of six Canadians represented including one of my students, graduating ACAD Print Media major, Kale Vandenbroek. Show is up until May 18th.
Summer Exhibition Extravaganza!
Lots of exhibitions on the go this summer! My work is still at Red Delicious Press for the Water on Paper exhibition. I am participating in the 12th Lessedra World Art Print Annual in Bulgaria and the 33rd Miniprint of Cadaques in Spain both for the second time. They are large miniprint exhibitions that take place each year. I am also showing work for the first time in New York and have a piece in the Manhattan Graphics Center’s 3rd Annual Printmaking Juried Show. The juror is Roberta Waddell, Curator of Prints Emerita, New York Public Library. Go go prints to places that I’ve never been! (and bring back cake or some sort of local treat).
